For the glass fabrication of this unique and intricate project, SBG manufactured decorative stairs with anti-slip coating and curved spiral staircase railings.
SBG used digital printing for the stair colors and combined digitally printed slip-resistant ceramic ink (DTG) to the first surface for traction control. Each unit was pattern cut with holes, including two landings. The project called for a DTG digital print pattern of ¼-inch circles at ¼-inch on center without partial tread along the front of the step and for the first circle to be meticulously placed at the inside corner.

In total, SBG fabricated 507 square feet of glass used in the staircase. The company’s work included pattern cutting, hole drilling, tempering, lamination, color matching, digital decorative printing and digital printing to the first surface using slip-resistant ink (Direct-to-Glass DTG). The project incorporates 1 9/16-inch low iron, heat-strengthened glass. The curved railing includes 36 bent, tempered and laminated lites in the form of 20-inch tall parallelograms. The low-iron glass was supplied by Vitro Architectural Glass.
